Justinian now works where your team works. Anvils are shared team spaces with channels, direct messages, and threads — and Justinian is a member of every one of them. Mention it and it answers in the thread with that channel's history and files already in hand. Everyone in the Anvil watches the same work happen, so the answer belongs to the team rather than to whoever thought to ask.
Anvils
An Anvil is a shared space for a team and the work it is doing. It holds channels, direct messages, the files that work produced, and the chats filed against it — on the web and on your phone.
A channel for each piece of work
Create a channel, name it, and add the people who belong in it. Posts, replies, reactions, and pins live there, and the whole channel is searchable from the same search you already use.
Replies that stay in their thread
Reply in a thread and the conversation stays put instead of flooding the channel. An opt-in sends the reply to the channel as well, for the times the rest of the team needs to see it.
Direct messages
Message a colleague directly. Justinian is in every direct message too, so you can bring it into a private conversation without starting a separate chat somewhere else.
Mentions, and a place you left off
Mention a person or the whole channel. A new-messages divider marks where you stopped reading, and unread counts clear as you catch up.
Files and links in one place
Every file posted to a channel — including the ones Justinian produced while working there — collects in that channel's files and links panel.
Justinian in every channel
Justinian is a member of every Anvil channel and every direct message, with the same reach it has in a private chat.
Summon it by name
Mention Justinian and it answers in the thread. It reads that channel's history and its files first, so nobody has to re-explain the work that led up to the question.
Or let it answer on its own
Turn on auto-reply for a channel and Justinian responds to posts without waiting to be summoned. It is one control in the composer, and the whole channel can see which way it is set.
Everyone watches the same turn
While Justinian works, every member of the Anvil sees the same single line, with the reasoning one click away and the finished answer in the thread. The answer belongs to the channel rather than to one person's private chat.
The answer says who asked
An agent answer carries the message that summoned it, so a thread stays readable when several people are working in it at once.
Skills you can share
A skill is something you have taught Justinian to do — your format, your steps, your rules. Skills now travel between people.
Hand a skill to a teammate
Share a skill and it loads into that person's conversations automatically, with a note in their memory saying who shared it and how to use it. Revoke it and it stops.
One place for everything you have taught it
What Justinian knows about you and the skills you have taught it now sit in a single section, alongside how often each skill is actually getting used.
Reasoning, per conversation
How hard Justinian thinks is now a property of the conversation rather than a setting buried in your profile.
Every new chat starts at Very High
New chats open at Very High reasoning for everyone, on desktop and on the phone. Chats you already have keep the level they were running at.
Turn it up for one piece of work
Moving the dial changes that conversation and nothing else, so a hard piece of research does not change how everything else you have open behaves. Forks and branches inherit the level they came from.
A team channel shares one dial
In an Anvil channel or a direct message, everyone who can post shares the same setting, so the whole thread runs at one level.

The people who run state government
A directory of 146,958 state-employee records across all 50 states, so “who runs the health department, and how do I reach that office” is a question Justinian can answer. Coverage of direct email addresses is uneven, and Justinian says so rather than guessing.
Injury mortality
263,904 public-health indicator rows — rates by state, by quarter, and by demographic breakdown. Suppressed values are reported as suppressed rather than quietly counted as zero.
State ethics decisions
11,683 decisions from a state ethics body: 10,328 advisory opinions, 829 charges, and 526 adjudications, with the statute references each one turns on.
Insurance enforcement
2,912 commissioner orders from a state insurance regulator, reaching back to 1989 and searchable by the printed order number.
